St. Clair Volleyball Update October 28 2023
St. Clair Women’s Volleyball Remain Undefeated
The St. Clair College women’s volleyball team continued their OCAA home schedule on Friday night defeating the Mohawk Mountaineers 3-0. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-17, 25-10, and 25-21.
Middle Geneva Huisman (Amherstburg; Marantha) led the way for the Saints with 7 kills, 6 stuff blocks, 2 service aces and 3 digs. Outsider hitter Kiana Huggins (London; Saunders) had a great match with 13 kills and 6 digs.
The Saints are now 3-0 on the season while Mohawk dropped to 2-1. St. Clair is currently ranked 4th in Ontario while the Mountaineers are ranked 3rd.
St. Clair is next in action on Saturday November 4th when the host the top ranked Humber Hawks at the Sportsplex at 1 pm.
St. Clair Men’s Volleyball Improve to 2-1
The St. Clair College men’s volleyball team continued their OCAA home schedule on Friday night by defeating the Mohawk Mountaineers 3-0. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-18, 29-27, and 25-19.
Rookie outside hitter Arthur Richard (Woodstock; Woodstock Collegiate) led the way offensively for the Saints with 12 kills, 1 stuff block, 1 service ace and 5 digs. Middle Jonah Certossi(Belle River; Belle River District) also had a solid game with 4 kills and 4 stuff blocks.
The Saints are now 2-1 on the season while Mohawk dropped to 1-2. Mohawk is currently ranked 7th in the OCAA.
St. Clair is next in action on Saturday, November 4th at 3 pm when they host the Humber Hawks at the Sportsplex.
