Sarnia Stings Windsor Spitfires at WFCU Centre

Sarnia Stings Windsor Spitfires – The Sarnia Sting scored four unanswered goals in the third period to come from behind and stun the Windsor Spitfires 4-2 at the WFCU Centre Sunday afternoon.

Jeff King scored twice for the Sting (28-26-5-1) while Windsor native Anthony Salinitri and Jordan Kyrou added single markers.

Jeremiah Addison paced the Spitfires (36-15-5-3) offensively with a goal and an assists while Luke Boka had Windsor’s lone other goal. Addison’s assist on Boka’s first period marker was the 300th point of his Ontario Hockey League career.

Juston Fazio was stellar in the Sting net while making 36 saves to pick up the win in net. Michael DiPietro made 21 stops at the other end.

The loss was the Spitfires’ second in a row and they now trail the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds by five points in the battle for first place in the OHL’s West Division standings.

The Windsor Spitfires schedule has them back in action Thursday night when they host the ”Hounds.
