WINDSOR CLIPPERS EDGED IN OVERTIME 8-7
The Windsor Clippers lost a hard fought battle in overtime to the Niagara Thunderhawks 8-7. Both clubs entered the game with 2-0 records. Both teams played extremely well with the defense and goaltending taking centre stage. A bounce here and there and the game could have been won by either club.
Logan Holmes paced the Clippers offence with a pair of goals and three assists. Also scoring for the Clippers were James Morgan, Ryan Marchand, Andrew Garant, Brendan Wallace and Blain Wallace.
Brayden Bell suffered the loss in goal for the Clippers. Bell stopped 42 of 50 shots. Niagara held the shots edge 50-46.
The Clippers will now prepare for the home opener next Saturday night, May 7th. The Clippers will welcome in the Welland Generals. Game time at Forest Glade arena is 7:00 pm.
