The Windsor Express sign Nassau, Bahamas, native Robert Nortmann for the upcoming 2017-18 season
The 6’ 9” power forward joins the Express from the Island Storm of the NBLC, where he spent two years after leaving the Halifax Rainmen.
Nortmann moved to Canada in 2001, attended Dalhousie University, and played in the Tigers program where he won AUS Championships in 2009 and 2011. He averaged 14.6 ppg and 6.5
rpg in his senior year and was named an AUS second-team all-star.
After graduation, Nortmann earned an NBA D-League contract and then played in Australia for a season before joining the Rainmen. He has also spent a season as a development player
in the Harlem Globetrotters system.
“I am excited and expecting great things from this organization. I will leave it all on the floor every night for our loyal fans,” said Nortmann. “I am looking forward in being a part of this
exciting team!”
The Windsor Express training camp begins in November.
