Windsor Spitfires Defeat London Knights in Game 3

Michael DiPietro made 15 saves as the Windsor Spitfires defeated the London Knights 3-1 at the WFCU Centre Tuesday night. The win gives Windsor a 2-1 lead in their Ontario Hockey League Western Conference quarter-final play-off series.

Juluis Nattinen, Gabriel Vilardi and Cristiano DiGiacinto all scored their first goals of the play-offs for the Spitfires (2-1) while Sean Day chipped in with a pair of assists.

Nattinen’s opened the scoring in the first period on a powerplay and marked the first time in three games that the Spitfires had opened the scoring in a game.

Janne Kuokkanen had the lone goal for the Knights (1-2) while Tyler Parsons also made 15 saves while taking the loss in net for the visitors.

Game four of the series is scheduled for Thursday night at the WFCU Centre leading up to game five at London’s Budweiser Gardens on Friday night.
