Windsor Spitfires add Defenceman Hunter Carrick from Ottawa

General Manager Warren Rychel has acquired defenceman Hunter Carrick from the Ottawa 67s.

The deal sees a conditional pick – Windsor’s 4th in 2023 – head to the nation’s capital, once Carrick suits up for a regular season game with the Spitfires. The teams have also exchanged their 14th round picks in 2020 as part of the transaction.

Carrick, 17, has spent the last two seasons with the Oakland Junior Grizzlies program in Michigan. In 2016-17, he scored seven times and added 12 assists in 31 games.

Originally an 11th round pick (#212 overall) in 2016, Carrick is a 6’0, 183-pound native of Orland Park, Illinois and the brother of Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman and former Plymouth Whaler, Connor Carrick.

Carrick will attend our 2017 Training Camp, which opens on Monday, August 28th.
