Windsor Spitfires Oct 20, Michael DiPietro made 25 saves as the Windsor Spitfires blank the Kingston Frontenacs 2-0 at the WFCU Centre.
The shutout was the first of the season for the sophomore netminder from Amherstburg, who has started in net every home game so far this season.

Defenceman Sean Day, who was acquired earlier in the week in a blockbuster trade with the Mississauga Steelheads, also scored his debut with the Spitfires (8-3-0-0) in the first period to round out the scoring in the game. The rearguard was named the game’s first star for his stellar performance on the night.
Jeremy Helvig made 29 saves for the Frontenacs (4-5-1-0)
The start of the game was delayed 15 minutes as officials were late arriving at the WFCU Centre.
The Spitfires return to action Saturday night for a contest against the Firebirds at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center in Flint.
