Windsor Spitfires Sting Sarnia
Michael DiPietro made 22 saves a the Windsor Spitfires doubled-up the Sarnia Sting 6-3 at the WFCU Centre Thursday night.
Graham Knott paced the Spitfires (34-13-5-3) offensively with a goal and two assists while Gabe Vilardi, Mikhail Sergachev, Jeremiah Addison, Aaron Luchuk and Logan Brown all added single goals.
Adam Laishram chipped in with three assists while Jeremy Bracco had a couple of helpers for Windsor, who now trail the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds by three points in the battle fo first place in the Ontario Hockey League’s West Division standings.
Jeff King lead the Sting (26-23-5-1) with a goal and an assist while Jordan Ernst and Drake Rymsha had single markers.
Aidan Hughes made36 saves while taking the loss in net for Sarnia.
The Spitfires schedule has them return to action Saturday night when they host the Guelph Storm on Mickey Renaud Night.
