Windsor TFC announced this week that the Essex County Soccer Association has granted the program the playing rights at the League 3 level
The decision means that Windsor TFC will establish and field both boys and girls U14 and U13 teams in the Western Region Soccer League for the 2018 season.
“This is a huge step forward for the development of soccer in this region and allows us the opportunity to provide an alternate pathway, one that will replicate and further evolve the success we’ve had with the FC Nationals and Eastside Kickers,” said Vancho Cirovski, president of Windsor TFC. “Many thanks to ECSA for having confidence in our ability to succeed.”
The Western Region Soccer League operated its first season in 2007. The league and its predecessor was established to enhance the development of local boys and girls and to reduce the amount of travel required.
Tryouts for the above and other age groups are being held at Academie St Cecile from 9am through 11:30am on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17 and again on September 23 and 24, as listed below.
• Boys and Girls Born in 2004 – 9am to 10:30am
