Detroit Red Wing and Toronto Maple Leafs Announce Alumni Game roster for 2017 NHL Centennial Classic
To celebrate one of the NHL’s longest-standing rivalries, the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs unveiled their Alumni game roster for the 2017 Rogers NHL Centennial Classic. The showdown will be played outdoors on December 31, 2016 at Exhibition Stadium as part of the Toronto Maple Leafs Centennial celebration.
With the help of Maple Leafs alumnus Darcy Tucker and Red Wings alumnus Kris Draper, the rosters were announced and include inductees of the Hockey Hall of Fame, 50-goal scorers and many fan favourites. The rosters are:

Alumni from these storied hockey clubs last met during a doubleheader on December 31, 2013 as part of the Hockeytown Winter Festival in Detroit, Michigan. The Detroit Red Wings Alumni swept the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni, winning the first matchup 5-4 and the second, 6-5.
As a special Centennial Season celebration and to mark its 50th anniversary, fans in attendance will also witness the Toronto Maple Leafs honour the 1967 Stanley Cup winning team during the game in a must-see moment.
