To celebrate 50 years of the legendary Camaro, Ernst Benz is launching a new limited-edition series of timepieces inspired by the exceptional Fiftieth Anniversary edition Camaro as well as a

special series that pays homage to the original 1st generation of Camaro that began production in 1966 as a 1967 model. This inspired automotive horological collaboration was established out

of a shared passion for precision engineering and high performance to develop a timepiece that speaks to the spirit of Camaro and Ernst Benz.

The Fiftieth Anniversary Limited Edition series honors the distinctive look and performance that set this evolutionary Camaro apart. This sixth-generation Camaro Fiftieth Anniversary edition

automobile is offered exclusively in Nightfall Gray Metallic paint and features a detailed orange stripe package with special badges that are unique to this model. The inspiration of this timepiece originated from the Ernst Benz Instrument series dial and takes inspiration from these new Camaro features as well as the car’s dashboard gauges.

In the spirit of independence that Ernst Benz and Camaro share, the customer will have the ability to customize their timepiece to match their car and make it a true original by personalizing the (1) Exterior – select the case finish either in stainless steel, titanium, or black DLC, (2) Dashboard – choose the color of the hands to match the needles on the dashboard, and (3) Leather – personalize the strap by selecting from numerous materials, stitching, and laser engraving the car’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).

This series is being produced in the signature sized 47mm ChronoScope model as well as a 4mm ChronoSport. Both versions are limited to 50 individually numbered pieces for the world. To continue the 50-year celebration since the release of the original 1967 Camaro, Ernst Benz is also producing a special series inspired by this historical first-generation model. For this series, the Ernst Benz Traditional dial has been reworked to express the vibrant Chevy Orange Ignite and its classic double black stripes. This special-edition series is available in 50 individually numbered pieces in the signature 47mm ChronoScope model along with 50 ChronoSport pieces produced in both 40mm and 44mm cases.

Both the Ernst Benz Fiftieth Anniversary edition Camaro and First Generation special edition timepieces feature an exhibition case-back that has the Chevrolet logo engraved on the first layer of sapphire crystals, which also allows for the movement to be visible. The collection was previewed at the 2016 Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, August 19-20, along with all six generations of Chevrolet Camaro, including the new Fiftieth Edition as well as the first Camaro ever built, No. 100001.

This original Camaro was built in Detroit 50 years ago with handmade parts inside of a WWII warehouse at approximately the same time that founder of Ernst Benz, Mr. Benz, a pilot, engineer and inventor had began producing gauges, altimeters and other aircraft instruments in Switzerland. Pre-orders of both the Ernst Benz by Camaro Fiftieth Limited Edition series and the First Generation Camaro series are now available.
