BRIAN MASSE PROMOTING YOUTH IN SPORTS

BRIAN MASSE PROMOTING YOUTH IN SPORTS
Brian Masse M.P. (Windsor West) and Windsor West Little League (WWLL) are hosting a Free baseball clinic for children ages 4-17 this Saturday, March 23rd from 4PM-6PM at the Toldo Lancer Centre, 2555 College Ave.
As a long-time local sports institution, WWLL has provided a fun and supportive environment for the youth to play baseball in Windsor West since 1956. WWLL is based out of Mic Mac Park in Windsor, with Divisions ranging from age 4 to 18. WWLL is a Baseball league run strictly by volunteers. In supporting this baseball clinic initiative, the goal is to attract more youth in Windsor West to register for Little League baseball. www.wwll.ca

Take a Shot Sports is a community-based sports program that offers free skills training and game play development for youth between 8 and 11 years of age who have definite barriers of entry into the sport.
ASSIST Group has been helping youth participate in sports since 2007, a grassroots group of people with a lifelong passion for sports committed to raising funds to help kids experience the joy of participating in organized games.
“Since 1999, I have personally supported Windsor West Little League, as I truly believe that sport is a valued activity that can be used to promote physical activity and positive youth development while nurturing the qualities and attributes to build self-confidence.” stated Masse.
Windsor West Little League (WWLL) President Yvette Temple stated, “The benefits of the league to the kids are immense. Some ball players who began playing at WWLL ended up receiving athletic scholarships and some have even made it to the big leagues or semi-pro leagues all over North America. Another equally important benefit is that it keeps many kids off the streets and provides physical activity in the spring/summer months. Baseball, like most sports, teaches kids universal values, principles and lifelong lessons. This weekend’s baseball clinic will provide an opportunity for kids to try baseball for the first time or improve basic skills in a large indoor venue at the Toldo Centre and hopefully kids will enjoy it and sign up for little league.”
