Despite not playing a game for an entire month, the Windsor AKO Fratmen certainly did not look out of sinc in the least, downing the visiting Hamilton Hurricanes by a lopsided 68-7 score Saturday afternoon.
In front of a large, supportive crowd at their new home, E.J. Lajeunesse Field, the defending league champion AKO Fratmen increased their league-leading Ontario Football Conference record to an unblemished 5-0 record.
Hamilton brought a 4-1 record into the contest, their only loss coming early in the season to the AKO Fratmen. The Hurricanes were outmatched all day and after conceding two-points on the opening kickoff could only manage one touchdown against the Fratmen offence which continues to be the best in the OFC.

Windsor scored on its first possession of the game when second-year running back Cody McCann
bulldozed his way in from a couple of yards out. After that the visitors went down the field and scored but from then on it was all AKO.
After a huge sack by linebacker Darren Quennell followed by an interception by Jake Nicoletti,
quarterback Austin Lumley hooked up with his favourite target Llevi Noel. Noel, one of the premier wideouts in the league caught another touchdown pass from Lumley and later in the game was on the receiving end for his third major, a perfect toss from backup pivot Brandon Reaume.
Special teams had a huge game for the winners who led 40-7 at the half. Just before the break, Josh Wright ran a punt return back for a Windsor touchdown. Kicker-punter Clark Green was perfect all day not only on his PAT’s but his booming punts kept the Hurricanes pinned in their own end.
Adding insult to injury, Devonte Pierce stripped the ball from the Hamilton quarterback and easily cruised into the end zone for a defensive touchdown.
Windsor will take its 5-0 to London this weekend to take on the Beefeaters.
