BRUINS RECLAIM PLAYOFF SPOT, BLOCK RED WINGS PLAYOFF BERTH
Torey Krug registered 1-2—3, including what stood as the winning goal, to lift the Bruins back into a playoff spot and prevent the Red Wings from clinching their 25th consecutive postseason berth.
Krug posted his fourth career three-point game and second of 2015-16 (also Oct. 12 vs. TBL: 0-3—3). He has established career highs in assists (40) and points (44) this season.
Loui Eriksson (1-1—2) reached the 30-goal milestone for the second time in his career (2008-09: 36 w/ DAL), a feat also achieved in 2015-16 by teammates Brad Marchand (37) and Patrice Bergeron (32).
The Bruins became the second team with three 30-goal scorers this season (also DAL). They last had three 30-goal scorers in the same campaign in 2002-03, when Glen Murray (44), Joe Thornton (36) and Mike Knuble (30) all reached the milestone.
