The Windsor Spitfires are proud to announce a charitable commitment from C.T. Soil as part of the club’s MVP Program, through which the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada received a donation of $1,000.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a disease that affects vision, balance, memory and mobility. The cause
is still unknown and researchers continue to search for a cure.
C.T. Soil began its partnership with the MS Society of Canada after a family member of owner
Tom O’Dwyer was diagnosed with the condition. As a result, members of the C.T. Soil family
have participated in the MS Bike Ride from London to Grand Bend for 12 years running, and are
hoping to bring one to Windsor.
C.T. Soil CFO Anne Thibert, who is also on the board of directors for the MS Society of Canada,
said every dollar raised for the MS Society goes toward research and familes of people affected.
“Every year I’ve been involved, I’ve seen a difference,” said Thibert. “That’s why we participate,
because we see the difference. It’s helping.”
Prior to the third period of this past Saturday’s game versus Erie, Spitfires Coordinator of Fan
Development Nathan Sellon presented a cheque to the MS Society of Canada on behalf of C.T.
Soil and the Windsor Spitfires Foundation.
CT Soil was also recognized in a feature video presented on the WFCU Centre’s jumbotron during
an intermission break.
