DETROIT PISTONS SIGN JARED RHODEN TO TWO-WAY CONTRACT

The Detroit Pistons have signed guard Jared Rhoden to a two-way contract.  In a related move, Detroit waived two-way forward Braxton Key.

Rhoden, 6-6, 210, most recently played for the College Park Skyhawks, the NBA’s G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks.  In 16 games (four starts), he averaged 13.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 54.7% from the field and 51.4% from 3-point range. 

Rhoden, a Baldwin, NY native, played four years, collegiately, at Seton Hall University.  In 122 career games (72 starts), he averaged 10.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists for the Pirates.  In 31 games as a senior, he averaged 15.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 33.1 minutes per game, garnering 2022 All-Big East First Team honors.  Rhoden left the program as one of only 12 players to record 1,200 points and 600 rebounds in school history.

Keys was signed to a two-way contract on April 3, 2022, following a 10-day stint with the Pistons.  He’s appeared in 12 games with Detroit, averaging 6.8 points and 4.1 rebounds.
