Downtown Windsor hosts Playoff Watch Parties for the Stanley Cup Final

Downtown Windsor is about to light up with playoff energy as the Stanley Cup Final kick off tonight-and with them, a series of Playoff Watch Parties that promise excitement, community spirit, and unbeatable viewing experiences.

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association (DWBIA) has teamed up with some of the city’s most popular venues to bring the community together for all seven potential games. From Cucina 360 to Eastwood’s Grill & Bar, each watch party will feature outdoor viewing, and a rallying point for hockey fans to cheer on the Edmonton Oilers as they face off against the Florida Panthers.

“These watch parties are about more than just hockey,” says Renaldo Agostino, Ward 3 Councillor. “They’re about community. They’re about reminding people that our downtown is alive, it’s thriving, and it’s where you want to be before, during, and after the puck drops.”

The series begins tonight, June 4 at Cucina 360, Art Walk in the Alley, with each game taking place at a different downtown venue:

  • Game 1: June 4 – Cucina 360, Art Walk in the Alley
  • Game 2: June 6 – The Loose Goose Restopub
  • Game 3: June 9 – The Manchester & Joywave
  • Game 4: June 12 – Panache, On A Roll & La Guardia
  • Game 5: June 14 – Lefty’s on the O & Treehouse Bar & Grill
  • Game 6: June 17 – The Bull & Barrel Urban Saloon
  • Game 7: June 20 – Eastwood’s Grill & Bar

The events are open to all ages and aim to create a safe, family-friendly atmosphere where fans can share in the electric energy of the finals, right in the heart of the city.

“This is what revitalization looks like,” said Chris MacLeod, Chair of the DWBIA. “When we say we want people to fall in love with downtown Windsor again, this is how we do it. These playoff nights are going to be something special.”

All events start at 8 p.m.
