In the spirit of good sportsmanship Essex County Warden and Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain, and Amherstburg Mayor, Aldo DiCarlo had to wear Essex 73’s hockey jerseys at Wednesday night’s Essex County Council Meeting
DiCarlo’s Amherstburg Admirals were swept in four games by Essex Mayor Ron McDermott’s Essex 73’s in the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League semi final playoffs.
This was the followed by another four game sweep by McDermott’s 73’s in the finals over their perennial nemesis, the Lakeshore Canadiens.
This is becoming old hat for McDermott who has seen his beloved 73’s win their 19th league championship.
