St. Clair Volleyball Home Openers Saturday

The St. Clair College women’s and men’s volleyball teams will open their OCAA home schedule on Saturday afternoon at the Sportsplex.

Both teams will be taking on the Fanshawe College Falcons (London).

The men’s match will start at 1 pm. St. Clair is 1-1 on the season while the Falcons are 2-0. The Saints are ranked 9th in Ontario while Fanshawe is 2nd. The Saints are expected to be led offensively by returning third year player Kale Wilkinson (Windsor; Riverside) and second year player Arthur Richard (Woodstock; Woodstock Collegiate). Veteran setter Nick Kwiatkowski (Essex; Essex District) is expected to have an impact as well.

The women will take to the floor at 3 pm. St. Clair is 2-0 on the season while the Falcons are 1-1. The St. Clair women are currently ranked 2nd in the OCAA while Fanshawe is 9th.

The St. Clair women have a great mixture of several key returning players. Some of the key returnees are setter Emma Clements (Windsor; Holy Names), middle Geneva Huisman (Amherstburg; Marantha) and libero Mikayla Stocks (LaSalle; Sandwich)
