The Windsor Express (5-5) earned a big home win over the Orangeville A’s (2-5) after a strong start in the first quarter, with a final score of 111-95.

The Windsor Express was off to a strong start in the first quarter with a 14-2 run over Orangeville. Brandon Robinson’s three pointer at the end of the quarter would give Windsor a 36-20 lead.

Shaquille Keith knocked down two free throws to start off the second quarter, extending Windsor’s lead to 38-20. Although the A’s outshot the Express 26-21 during the quarter, the Express went into halftime with a 57-46 advantage.

Chris Commons started the second half with a three point play to extend Windsor’s lead, 60-46. Orangeville went on a 6-0 run after playing for four minutes. Brandon Robinson closes the third with a one handed slam, keeping Windsor’s lead alive, 81-69.

The A’s opened up the last quarter with three free throws from Anto Raic. However, Windsor did not give up their lead throughout the remainder of the quarter. Adrian Moss hitsa deep three in the last minute of the quarter, and Shaquille Keith responds with a bucket to solidify the Express lead. Bilal Benn hits a jumper to end the game, and the Express earn the win, 111-95.

Brandon Robinson was the leading scorer for the Express, putting up 27 points, a game high.

Chris Commons added 26 points of his own, and Tony Bennett had 22 points.

Maurice Bolden had 4 blocks, a game high.

Jameson Tipping was the leading scorer for the A’s with 16 points. Rick Bodiford added 13 points of his own.

The Windsor Express return to The WFCU Centre this weekend for back to back games. The London Lightning will come to town on Friday January 22nd for a 7:30pm game start. On Saturday, January 23rd, the Niagara River Lions will come to town for a 7:30pm game start.
