AKO Fratmen host Hamilton Hurricanes in OFC Championship Game Winner To Host National Championship Game
The Windsor AKO Fratmen (7-1) will be looking for revenge when they meet up with the Hamilton Hurricanes (5 – 3) for the OFC title. Last year the Hurricanes defeated AKO in the championship game by a score of 52 – 21 at Tim Horton’s Field in Hamilton.
In their only meeting of the 2017 regular season on September 16th at the Wayne Gretzky Complex in Brantford, the Fratmen came back after falling behind 7 -3 at the end of the first half. AKO would outscore the Hurricanes in the second half , 29 to 14 to claim victory.
The game will be played, Sunday, October 29th, at Alumni Field, kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. Tickets for the game will be available at the stadium entrance, cost is $10.00, discounts are available for seniors and youths under 12.
The winner of the OFC Championship will go on to host the Canadian Bowl on Saturday, November 11th, 2017.
