“I think this was our best team game and it was really good to carry through the momentum. We played a really strong Russia game, and then taking the next step tonight, I think it will be great for whoever we face in the semifinals.” – Wakefield on Canada’s performance against Finland
“With these last couple of games, we have a lot of confidence going forward, so no matter who we play we’re not going to change our game plan – we’re going to stick to our game.” – Maschmeyer on looking ahead to the IIHF Women’s Worlds semifinals
“Tonight I was really happy with our overall performance. It was probably the most consistent game for us, but we still need to work on our discipline and make sure that we stay out of the box moving forward.” – Head coach Laura Schuler (Scarborough, Ont.) on what Canada needs to work on heading into the semifinals
