Kingsville Kings Announce Management Changes

Owner Michal Kolarik and Team President Tom Schinkelschoek would like to congratulate last year’s Head Coach and General Manager Gary Astalos who has accepted the head coach position at Adrian College of the ACHA.  Gary lead the Kingsville Kings to a 39-3-0 record in their inaugural season where they were defeated in game seven of the Greater Metro Junior A League finals by Tottenham. The Kingsville Kings wish Gary much success in this endeavor.

The Kings are very happy to announce the hiring of Greg Prymack as Director of Hockey/General Manager. Greg’s many years of experience at all levels of hockey in the Windsor/Essex County area will be a major asset in working within the organization to bring a Championship to Kingsville.

Greg and the Ownership Group are extremely excited and proud to announce the hiring of Michael Guzzo as the new Head Coach of the Kingsville Kings.

Michael is a resident of Madison, Alabama where he was Director of the North Alabama Hockey Association. Mike coached the Huntsville U16 team to the Nationals in 2013 and won a Silver Stick in 2012 with the Huntsville U18. Mike ran and directed the Huntsville Hockey Development Center and was active in the running of USA Hockey Clinics in the Huntsville area.  His playing experience includes three season’s with the Penticton Vees in the British Columbia Hockey League where he accumulated 131 points in 150 games and won a BCHL Championship. Mike played NCAA III at Curry College where he accumulated 40 points in his three years there.

Mike was drafted by the Plymouth Whalers of the O.H.L as well as by the Chicago Steel of the USHL and he has played professionally in Europe. Mike’s passion for hockey and especially coaching has him looking forward to continuing his hockey career in Kingsville and bringing a Championship to the Town of Kingsville.
