Lakeshore Coronavirus COVID-19 Update for March 13

Lakeshore understands the growing concern surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) across our communities. The health, welfare, and safety of our citizens and users is paramount to the Town.

The situation is evolving rapidly, and we are closely monitoring the updates issued by Windsor Essex County Health Unit, and the Province of Ontario related to the spread of coronavirus. Our focus is to ensure we meet the needs of our communities while doing our part to keep you, our employees, and our communities safe.

Recreation Programming

The Town of Lakeshore will continue to run its March Break Camp, but will limit other recreation programs with a view to reducing large gatherings of people as recommended by Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer.

The following changes will be effective as of 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

Atlas Tube Centre

The March Break Camp will run as planned from March 16th to 20th. Full refunds will be processed for anyone wishing to withdraw from the camp and registrants requesting a refund will NOT be charged an administration fee.

Winter session recreation programs will continue. Persons registered who wish to discontinue attendance at the sessions may cancel and receive a pro-rated credit to their account and will NOT be charged an administration fee.

Public drop-in programs (Sticks & Pucks, Adult Skate, Parent & Tot Skate, Preschool Sticks & Pucks, Adult Sticks & Pucks 16+ and 55+, Friday Drop in Hockey, Public Skating, Pickleball, Shuffleboard) ARE CANCELLED until further notice.

The Pool is closed for all programs other than Swimming Lessons.

The Gymnasium will be closed (No rentals or drop in programs).

The Rock Arena track will remain open.
