DETROIT LIONS HEAD COACH JIM CALDWELL ON . . .
How T Taylor Decker is progressing and how close he is to returning to action: “Yeah, he’s doing well. He’s been working and trying to simulate him as best we can, sort of game-like situations. He’s been doing those things well. We’ve got another day of work today, he’s close.”
If there is a chance Decker will play on Sunday against the Browns: “We’ll see.”
On what he needs to see from Decker for him to return: “We’ll go through practice like we normally do on Fridays and we’ll see how he feels. It’s usually the day after, that’s the most important thing. So, it won’t be today right after practice. It’s always the day after.”
If T Taylor Decker has had any issues since returning from his injury: “We don’t talk about those kinds of situations. But you could imagine that anytime that you’re coming back from anything, you’re not going to be absolutely perfect. There’s a process to it all. So, he’s in that boat.”
If there is something his team has to do to motivate itself when heavily favorited in a game: “Yeah, I’m not certain if they’re anything like I am, they don’t pay any attention to it because it means really nothing. And what we have to do is just make certain that we’re continuing to get better. That’s the key because they are tough. These guys have as many good players as anybody that we’ll face and they certainly are capable. And that’s what we have to make certain that we’re prepared for. They’re going to be in an intense bunch that’s hungry. And we have to certainly have the same kind of attitude.”
If DE Ezekiel Ansah’s knee is healed and if he is only dealing with a back injury now: “I would say to you, I would believe what you’re reading. So, whatever you see on the report is kind of what I would say that you should follow. I’m not going to add to it or detract from it.”
The captains for Week 10: “Captains for this week again, TJ Jones, Eric Ebron, Sam Martin, Tavon Wilson.”
