Detroit Lions Injury Report September 23, 2016
The following players have been listed on the Detroit Lions’ Injury Report today: DE Ezekiel Ansah (ankle), LB DeAndre Levy (quad), G Larry Warford (illness) and LB Antwione Williams (hamstring) did not practice.
CB Adairius Barnes (ankle), DE Wallace Gilberry (abdomen) and DE Devin Taylor (ankle) were limited in practice.
TE Eric Ebron (back), T Riley Reiff (ankle), LB Kyle Van Noy (calf) and DT Tyrunn Walker (calf) participated in full practice.
GAME STATUS: Ansah is out. Levy and Williams are doubtful. Barnes, Ebron, Gilberry, Reiff, Taylor, Van Noy, Walker and Warford are questionable.

On the second opinion regarding DE Ezekiel Ansah’s ankle injury: “We don’t talk about injuries, prognosis or anything of that nature.”
On if there’s any update on LB DeAndre Levy’s health: “Same answer.”
On if there’s a concern that Ansah may be out for the year: “Same answer.”
On if S Miles Killebrew could play linebacker if necessary: “We have a lot of versatile guys, you know. We have lots of different packages and things like that we use. We have a lot of things. If you’ve watched us, anytime you see a defensive back come into the game and there’s five in the game, one of those guys is playing what? That’s kind of how it is.”
On the captains for Week 3 against Green Bay: “(Matt) Prater, Tahir (Whitehead) and Theo (Riddick).”
The Lions concluded their preparation for the Green Bay Packers today with a practice in shorts at the team’s headquarters and training facility in Allen Park.
Detroit (1-1) embarks on a two-game road stand beginning with a Week 3 trip to Green Bay (1-1) to face the Packers. Sunday’s matchup marks the 172nd all-time meeting between the NFC North rivals, as Green Bay leads the all-time series, 96-68-7. The Lions and Packers have split the season series each year since 2013, with the Packers winning the most recent contest, 27-23 at Ford Field in 2016 (12/3). The team’s win at Green Bay last season (11/15) snapped a 23-game regular season losing streak on the road against the Packers.
