LIONS SIGN CB DARIUS SLAY TO CONTRACT EXTENSION THROUGH 2020 SEASON
The Detroit Lions have signed CB Darius Slay to a contract extension through the 2020 NFL season. Additional contract terms were not disclosed.
“Darius earned this extension, and we are happy to reward him accordingly,” Lions Executive Vice President and General Manager Bob Quinn said. “We also are pleased to have finalized this now so the team and Darius can focus on the start of training camp and preparation for the upcoming season.”
Originally drafted by the Lions in the second round (36th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Mississippi State, Slay has played in 45 career games for the Lions (36 starts). His career totals include 149 total tackles (119 solo), four interceptions and 35 pass defenses.
