Milan Dragway July 6-10
The July edition of Aeroquip Heads Up edition brought out tons of great fans who got to see a whole lot of intense heads up pairings. Joel Wensley broke the Diamond Pistons Outlaw 10.5 record with his pass in the final round against Anthony St. Bernard who wasn’t far behind with his 4.18 pass.
Sunday was a day of tight competition amongst bracket racers.
In Masta Performance Pro, two Sportsman drivers faced off in the final round with Josh Morgan taking the win over Greg McCurry on a double break out.
This runner up finish put McCurry in a two way tie for second in Pro while he sits at a tie for third place in Sportsman points.
The three way tie for first place in Sportsman was broken up by Marlon Howes taking the win and Tony McKinney pushing his way into the #2 slot after his runner up to Marlon.
In Insurance Man Super Pro, Tim Buckley’s win over Chris Carras helped him close the gap between him and points leader Will Crawford with Buckley now trailing only 11 points behind. Justin Hughes took the win in Super Pro Bike over Joe Novak Jr.
Joe Novak Sr, Joe Novak Jr, and Ron Raymond are now leading the points chase with the rest of the class trailing behind. With Sunday’s race officially in the second half of the points chase, the competition will only get more fierce as people battle it out for the championships. Check out the points standings here.
