MILESTONES & BENCHMARKS

  • Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban (0-1—1), who extended his point streak to six games (2-4—6), recorded his 200th NHL assist.
  • Canadiens defenseman Mark Barberio (1-0—1) and Oilers forward Zack Kassian (1-1—2) notched their first goals with their respective teams.
  • Blue Jackets forward Kerby Rychel (1-1—2), the 19th overall selection in the 2013 NHL Draft, scored his first career goal (21 GP).
  • Stars defenseman Esa Lindell, a third-round selection (74th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft, made his League debut.
  • Capitals defenseman Karl Alzner played in his 422nd consecutive game to tie forward Bobby Carpenter for the longest such streak in franchise history.
  • Patrick Kane posted 1-1—2 and Corey Crawford made 38 saves to lead the Blackhawks to their 12th consecutive victory, a first in the franchise’s 89-year history.
  • Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov (1-1—2) extended his point streak to a career-high six games (5-4—9). He also has 8-9—17 during an 11-game home point streak
  • Teammate Alex Killorn (1-2—3) equaled a career high for points in one game (also Nov. 2, 2013 vs. STL: 1-2—3)
  • Jake Muzzin (0-1—1) extended his point streak to a career-high eight games (1-7—8), the longest such run by a Kings defenseman since Dec. 10-28, 2005 (Lubomir Visnovsky: 1-11—12 in 9 GP)
  • Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere scored his eighth goal of the season, tops among rookie blueliners
  • Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 22 saves in his first start since Dec. 8, including a denial of Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin on a third-period penalty shot
  • Devils forward Mike Cammalleri collected one assist in his first appearance since Dec. 30
