GOLDEN KNIGHTS, DEVILS LOOK TO REMAIN UNBEATEN
The Golden Knights (3-0-0) and Devils (3-0-0) look to extend their season-opening winning streaks when they face the Red Wings and Capitals, respectively, on Friday.
The Golden Knights – already the first club in the 100-year history of the NHL to begin its inaugural season with three straight wins – will look to push their streak to four when they host the Red Wings at the second-ever regular-season game at T-Mobile Arena.
The Devils – who aim to start a season with four consecutive victories for the fourth time in franchise history (last: 4-0-0 in 1995-96) – host the Capitals at Prudential Center. New Jersey has combined for 16 goals through its first three games of the season, led by rookies Jesper Bratt (3-3—6) and Will Butcher (0-5—5).
