HISCHIER SCORES FIRST NHL GOALS AS DEVILS CONTINUE TO ROLL
Nico Hischier, the first overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft, scored the first two goals of his career and the Devils overcame a two-goal deficit in the third period to improve to 6-1-0 this season. New Jersey has won six of its first seven games for the fourth time in franchise history and first time since 2002-03 (6-1-0).

KUCHEROV AND STAMKOS CONTINUE TO FIND THE SCORE SHEET
Lightning forwards Nikita Kucherov (0-2—2) and Steven Stamkos (0-1—1) each extended their season-opening point streaks to eight games and former Windsor Spitfire Mikhail Sergachev scored his first two NHL goals to help the Lightning improve to 6-1-1.

BRUINS OFFENCE IGNITES ON HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER NIGHT
Patrice Bergeron tallied 1-3—4 while skating in his first game of 2017-18 – and 900th contest of his NHL career – as the Bruins erupted for four goals in the first period, including three in a span of 1:37, en route to victory on Hockey Fights Cancer Night in Boston.

MUST SEE: Bruins captain Zdeno Chara escorted eight-year-old Layla Flint, who is in remission from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, to center ice to drop the ceremonial puck. You can watch the pre-game ceremony below, which concluded with a special moment between Layla and Brad Marchand.
