MARLEAU SCORES 99TH CAREER GAME WINNER IN MAPLE LEAFS WIN
Patrick Marleau scored his 99th career game-winning goal to help the Maple Leafs hand the Kings their first regulation loss of the season and improve to 7-2-0. Toronto has won at least seven of its first nine games of a season for the seventh time in franchise history.
Marleau surpassed Bobby Hull and Guy Lafleur (both w/ 98) for sole possession of eighth place on the NHL’s all-time game-winning goals list.

COUTURE LEADS SHARKS TO VICTORY
After being named the NHL’s Third Star of the Week on Monday, Logan Couture posted 1-1—2 to lead the Sharks to victory. Couture – who scored his second career hat trick on Saturday – has collected 6-3—9 in his past four games.
THORNTON APPROACHES TOP-20 ON ALL-TIME POINTS LIST
Sharks forward Joe Thornton collected an assist to move within a point of tying Jari Kurri for 20th place on the NHL’s all-time list.
