KINGS EXTEND WIN STREAK, EARN 20TH VICTORY OVERALL
The Hurricanes overcame a 2-0 deficit in the final 6:57 of regulation, but Tanner Pearson (1-1—2) scored with 19.2 seconds left in overtime to lift the Western Conference-leading Kings to their eighth straight victory and 20th win of the season overall (20-8-3, 43 points). The Kings’ eight-game run is the longest win streak in the NHL this season and the longest by Los Angeles since an equal run from Feb. 7-24, 2015.

Jonathan Quick (32 saves) extended his personal win streak to six games dating to Nov. 25, posting a 1.46 goals-against average and .943 save percentage in that span.

Anze Kopitar (1-1—2) recorded multiple points for the fourth consecutive game (3-6—9) and ranks tied for third in the NHL with 16-22—38 this season.

LEAGUE-LEADING LIGHTNING CONTINUE TO ROLL
Nikita Kucherov tied the game in the third period and Brayden Point (1-1—2) scored 36 seconds into overtime to power the League-leading Lightning (21-6-2, 44 points) to their fourth consecutive win. Tampa Bay also earned its fifth straight victory at Amalie Arena and leads the NHL with 13 home wins overall this season (13-2-1, 27 points).

Kucherov (20-21—41 in 29 GP) reached the 20-goal mark for the fourth consecutive season. After reaching the 20-goal mark on Feb. 7 last season, Kucherov went four games without a point before scoring a goal in five straight contests, a streak that began Feb. 21. Since that date, Kucherov has collected 39-38—77 in 52 GP (1.48 P/GP) – the most goals and points by any player in that span.

AVALANCHE ERUPT FOR SEVEN GOALS TO SNAP SLIDE
The Avalanche erupted for seven goals to defeat the Panthers and snap a four-game slide (0-4-0). Colorado scored seven goals in a game for the first time since Oct. 24, 2014 vs. VAN (7-3 W).
