LAGACE BECOMES THIRD VEGAS GOALIE TO RECORD FIRST NHL WIN
Maxime Lagace made 24 saves to earn the first win of his NHL career and help the Golden Knights improve to 9-4-0 (18 points). Vegas became just the second team in the 100-year history of the NHL to reach nine wins in 13 or fewer games during its inaugural season.

Legace (1-3-0) became the third Golden Knights goaltender to earn his first career win this season, joining Oscar Dansk and Malcolm Subban.

TEAMS WIN BACK-AND-FORTH AFFAIRS IN EXTRA TIME
Three teams earned wins in extra time following several lead changes in regulation:

The Canadiens overcame a 4-2 deficit in the third period and Max Pacioretty (1-2—3) notched his ninth career regular-season overtime goal (all w/ MTL) to move into a tie with Aurel Joliat and Howie Morenz for the most franchise history.

The Rangers surrendered two game-tying goals in the third period, but Kevin Shattenkirk scored his second goal of the contest at 1:08 of overtime to power New York to is third straight win.

Mikko Rantanen (1-0—1) scored the decisive marker in the shootout to lift Colorado to its third consecutive win and an 8-5-0 record overall this season. The Avalanche visit the Islanders today in their final contest before heading overseas to play a doubleheader against the Senators in the 2017 SAP NHL Global Series.
