Riverside Minor Baseball Association is excited to offer a redesigned House league Select program for the 2020 season to its pee wee and bantam players (born 2005-2008). Over the last few seasons, registration in these age groups has been challenging. The changes build on the success of our part-time Select program. The program is expected to revitalize these divisions and offer a quality program to its older House league players.

According to President Chris Lewis, these changes are designed to give all players “more opportunities, more development, more time on the field and more fun.”.

The new program is not travel baseball. It is made for House league players and expands Riverside Baseball’s previous part-time select program. Teams will participate in local games and tournaments and have more time dedicated to practice and development. To learn more, players and families are invited to one of the information sessions at the Riverside Sports Centre (6965 Ontario St. Windsor) on Thursday February 27 at 6:30 pm or Saturday February 29 at NOON.

Riverside Baseball’s thriving Rookie (2011-2012) and Mosquito (2009-2010) divisions will continue to operate with a traditional House league model with optional additional Select teams. There will also be a Midget division this year (born 2002-2004).

Riverside Baseball is also excited to announce that its youngest players (born 2013-2015) in TBall and Junior Rookie will play part of their season at the Farrow Riverside Miracle Park!

Registration is underway for all divisions online or at posted in-person registration dates.
