St. Clair Men’s Soccer Host Playoff Saturday

The St. Clair Men’s varsity soccer team will be hosting a cross-over playoff game on Saturday night at 7 pm at Acumen Stadium.

The Saints will be hosting the Niagara Knights. St. Clair finished in 2nd place in the West Division with a record of 4-2 while the Knights were 3rd in the South with a 2-4 record. The Saints scored 15 goals while allowing 8 on the season. Niagara scored 7 and gave up 16.

St. Clair is led offensively by midfielder Noel Junior (Brazil) who scored 5 goals in 6 games played. The Knights top scorer is Sunao Yamamoto who scored 3 goals in 6 games.

All St. Clair students in attendance at the game will have a chance to win one of two $500 scholarships. Attendance is free for all. Masks must be worn by all fans and covid screening will take place upon entry. Fans do not need to be vaccinated.

The winner of the match will advance to the OCAA Quarterfinal against Durham who finished 1st in the East.

St. Clair is hosting the OCAA Final Four Championship on October 29-30.

St. Clair Women’s Soccer Host Playoff Sunday

The St. Clair women’s varsity soccer team will be hosting a cross-over playoff game on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm at Acumen Stadium.

The Saints will be hosting the Mohawk Mountaineers. St. Clair finished in 2nd place in the West Division with a record of 4-1-1 while the Mountaineers were 3rd in the South with a 1-4-1 record. The Saints scored 16 goals while allowing 7 on the season. Mohawk scored 8 and gave up 18.

St. Clair has 10 different players with at least one goal in the regular season. The Mountaineers top scorer is Sam Mathieu who scored 4 goals in 5 games.
