The St. Clair College Department of Athletics and women’s soccer program have announced the signing of Madison Kaldenbach to a Letter of Intent for the 2018-19 season.
Kaldenbach, a native of Milton, Ontario is currently finishing up her high school diploma at Craig Kilburger High School where she was the MVP for her Junior team. Madison is a 5’8 keeper that played for the Milton rep program elite team from U6 to U16. She has spent the last two seasons playing with Oakville in the Ontario Youth South League (OYSL). Madison has been accepted to the 2 year Border Services Program at St. Clair.
Madison is looking forward to joining the St. Clair program. “I chose the Saints because of the great coaching staff and the players made me feel very welcome over the last few months. I am looking forward to having a great experience as a student athlete in a soccer program that has been very successful the last few years.”
St. Clair head coach Kris Geier is excited to have Kaldenbach with the program next year. “She brings a wealth of experience as a keeper and has played at a high level with Oakville in the OYSL. We had some injury problems in net last year and Madison gives us a proven keeper who should help solidify our defensive structure.”
St. Clair finished the regular season with a record of 7-2-1 in the OCAA West Division ending up in 2nd place in women’s outdoor soccer. The Saints competed in the OCAA championship in Sudbury ending the tournament with a record of 2-1 as the Consolation Champions good for 5th place in the province. The indoor team had a very strong season as well winning the OCAA Regionals and finishing in 5th place at the OCAA Championship.
