St. Clair Saints Volleyball Update November 6 2019

St. Clair Women’s Volleyball Drop First Match of Season

The St. Clair women’s volleyball team continued their OCAA regular season schedule on the road on Wednesday night and collected their first loss of the season falling to the Fanshawe Falcons (London) by a score of 3-0.

Set scores for Fanshawe were 25-18, 25-15 and 25-14. Rookie Middle Keyome Ellis (Toronto, Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary) had a solid match with 3 kills, 1 service ace and 5 stuff blocks.

With the loss St. Clair fell to 3-1 while Fanshawe improved to 5-0. St. Clair is currently ranked 4th in the OCAA while Fanshawe is ranked 1st in the OCAA and 4th in Canada. The Saints are next in action on Sunday, November 17th when they travel to Kitchener to take on the Conestoga Condors at 1 pm.

St. Clair Men’s Volleyball Lose at Fanshawe

The St. Clair men’s volleyball team continued their OCAA regular season schedule on the road on Wednesday night and fell to the Fanshawe Falcons (London) by a score of 3-0.

Set scores for Fanshawe were 25-15, 25-18, and 25-21. Outside hitter Frankie Friesen (2nd Year; Staples; Tilbury District) let the way for the Saints with 13 kills, 3 service aces, and 5 digs.

With the loss St. Clair fell to 2-2 while Fanshawe improved to 4-1. The Falcons are ranked 5th in the OCAA. The Saints are next in action on Sunday, November 17th when they travel to Kitchener to take on the Conestoga Condors at 3 pm.
