Left winger Mads Eller was added to the Windsor Spitfires roster via Canadian Hockey League waivers, General Manager Warren Rychel announced today.

Eller, 20, played 28 games this season with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL – minor league affiliate of the Calgary Flames – posting three goals and three assists with a +4 rating and 20 penalty minutes.

The native of Radovre, Denmark played the previous two seasons with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League. Eller played a key role in helping the club win the 2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup title in his rookie season.

“Mads is a solid addition to our club,’ Rychel said. “He’s an experienced, multi-skilled player that can help us in all areas of the game. Our goal remains to win the West Division and to be a very competitive club come playoff time. We feel adding Mads is another step to that end.”

BEAUDOIN ASSIGNED TO LASALLE

In other roster news, first-year centre Daniel Beaudoin has been assigned to the LaSalle Vipers, Spitfires Junior B affiliate, after clearing OHL waivers earlier today.

Beaudoin played in 36 games this season after he was signed as a free agent out of training camp, posting three goals and five assists, along with a -7 rating and 15 penalty minutes.
