St. Clair Men’s Golf Team Win Division II Gold

The St. Clair College men’s varsity golf team had another solid day at the OCAA Golf Championship bringing home the Division II Gold Medal for the 2nd time in the last 4 years. The Championship was hosted by Fanshawe College at Firerock Golf Club just outside of London.

The Saints tied their day 2 total of 318 in the final round for a three day total of 972. Five players play for each team with the best 4 scores counting each day.

Marshal Quinn (LaSalle; Sandwich Secondary) was the top St. Clair player over the 3 days with a total of 226 which was good for 12th place in the individual results. Quinn finished 6 strokes out of qualifying for the CCAA National Championship. Derick Hare (Windsor; FJ Brennan) had a great round on Wednesday shooting a 4 over 75. Hare finished in 26th place overall with a 3 day total of 241. Other team members for St. Clair are Brett Harrison (Essex; Essex District), Simon Desmarais (Windsor; FJ Brennan), and Justin Roets (Tilbury; Tilbury District). The Saints are coached by Kevin Corriveau.
