River Ruiz is a 6’1 setter who hails from Campbell River, BC where he graduated from Carihi Secondary School. River spent one season with Keyano College winning ACAC Bronze with the Huskies in 2022-23. He previously played for the Mariners Volleyball Club.  Ruiz will be taking the three year Civil Engineering Technology program.

River can’t wait to join Saints Nation. “I chose St. Clair to continue my schooling in the Civil Engineering program, and the opportunity to compete and bring depth to a very good team. I am excited to move across the country and become a part of this vastly improved program and outstanding college.”

Head coach, Shawn Reaume is looking forward to adding these two players to his group. “I’m very pleased to be adding these two experienced and talented athletes in high skill positions to help round out our roster. I expect that they will both have a big impact both on and off the court having already been a part of other programs, and this will help us greatly in the short and long term.”
