St. Clair Women’s Soccer OCAA Award Winners

The OCAA announced its soccer award winners on Friday at the Women’s Soccer Championship Banquet and St. Clair was well represented.

Fifth year players Athena Dimario Done (Windsor; St. Joseph’s) and Jaclyn French (Windsor; Brennan) were both named First Team West Division All-Stars.

Dimario Done was the Saints starting keeper this past season. She played in all 10 games and made an amazing 134 saves (2nd in the OCAA) behind a very young and inexperienced St. Clair team. Her save percentage was .870 which was good for 4th in the league. Athena has graduated from the Firefighting Program and is currently enrolled in General Arts and Science.

French was a key forward for St. Clair this year leading the Saints in goals with 4 in 10 matches. Jaclyn is enrolled in the Office Administration Executive program.

Rookie Defender Alec Habash (LaSalle; Assumption) was named Second Team West Division All-Star.

Habash was the backbone of the Saints defense all season playing in 6 games after suffering a severe ankle injury midway through the year. Alec is taking the Liberal Arts program.

St. Clair Men’s Soccer Players Named All Stars

Rookie midfielder Riley Drkulec (Belle River; St. Annes) and second year midfielder Mateo Grahovac (Windsor; Riverside) were both named First Team West Division All-Stars.

Drkulec had a great debut season despite being injured late in the year. He scored 6 goals and added 1 assist while controlling the play in the midfield. Riley is in his first year of the Bachelor of Nursing Program.

Grahovac was a force in the middle as well scoring 6 goals and adding an assist in 8 games played. Matteo is taking the Border Services program.

Rookie forward Zain Nizam (Windsor; Kennedy) and second year defender Austin Severino (Kingsville; Kingsville District) were both named Second Team West Division All-Stars.

Nizam was a key kog in the St. Clair offense with 5 goals and 2 assists in 9 games played. Zain is enrolled in the Business Marketing Program

Severino was the backbone of the Saints defense all season long keeping the opponents to 2 goals or less in 7 of the Saints 10 games. Austin is taking the Business Administration Finance program.
