St. Clair Men’s Soccer Players Named OCAA All-Stars
Toronto (ON)- Two members of the St. Clair College men’s soccer team were named OCAA All-Stars on Wednesday night at the OCAA Championship Awards Banquet.
Korede Adepitan and Bastien Aguilera were both name West Division All Stars.
Adepitan, from Toronto, is a 4th year player who split time between the mid-field and forward positions this past year. He scored 5 goals in 9 games played.
Bastien, a second year player from Chili, spent the season playing mid-field for the Saints. He scored 1 goal in 8 games played while anchoring the mid-field position for the Saints.
The St. Clair men finished the season in 4th place in the tough OCAA West Division with a record of 5-5. The Saints qualified for the playoffs but lost their first game 2-1 to the top ranked Durham Lords.
St. Clair Women’s Soccer Player Cassie Nicholas Named OCAA All Star
Cassie Nicholas of the St. Clair women’s soccer team was named an OCAA All-Star on Wednesday night at the OCAA Championship Awards Banquet.
Nicholas, from Windsor, is in her third year with the Saints and is a graduate of Holy Names. She scored 5 goals in 11 games played despite playing some limited minutes due to a couple of nagging injuries.
The St. Clair women finished the season in 4th place in the tough OCAA West Division with a record of 3-5-3. The Saints qualified for the playoffs and upset the heavily favoured Sheridan Bruins on Saturday by a score 2-1 with Cassie scoring the winning goal. St. Clair will face the top ranked Humber Hawks tonight at 7 pm in their quarter-final match.
