“Our game was not perfect; we gave up a lot of three-on-ones and two against zero. Russia has a great team and we have to be careful, especially at this tournament when the top countries are here. We had a great start and it was very important. The crowd was amazing; they were our extra player no doubt. The fans gave us a lot of energy, and we thank them for the warm welcome.” Greg Westlake (Oakville, Ont.)

“We got off to a good start and we were able to maintain a high pace. The team played with structure and battled hard.” head coach Ken Babey (Saskatoon, Sask.)
