The Tour di Via Italia 2018 bicycle race took place on Sunday September 2, 2018. The Labour Day weekend event has become a treasured tradition for the past 50 years in Windsor’s Italian community.

Every year thousands of cycling fans flock to Erie Street to recapture some of the magic of big-time racing they were accustomed to seeing in their European homelands.

The competitors of all ages and experience levels didn’t disappoint. With colourful racing togs and fine-tuned machines riders from Windsor and all across North America raced around the 1.7km circuit at speeds averaging an astounding 50km/h.
