Come Together, Raise Awareness and Walk for RE/ACT Windsor-Essex

RE/ACT Windsor-Essex, the local education for addictions and complex trauma recovery program invites the Windsor and Essex County community members to sign up for the first annual walkathon this Saturday October 23, 2021 9:00 am at Assumption Park (Riverside Dr. W and Askin Blvd) along the Riverfront Trail.

“Join us as an individual, create a team or join an existing team, the choice is yours. The in-person walk will take place rain or shine and if you are not comfortable walking with a group, you can participate virtually and walk in your own neighbourhood while bringing in funds for the outpatient program.”

The Walk for RE/ACT Windsor-Essex sponsored by Windsor Port Authority, Tim Hortons, New Canadians’ Centre of Excellence and Supreme Restoration Services will begin with check in at 8:00 am at the Assumption Park Pavilion followed by the walk at 9:00 am. Registration for the in-person walk is $25/adult, children are free. Participants can register for the fundraising walk online at www.reactwindsor.ca

Established in October 2020, RE/ACT Windsor-Essex is a twelve-week hybrid outpatient program that provides a safe space for individuals to heal from personal trauma and addictions taking back control of their lives. This no fee recovery program is an initiative of the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative.
