WINDSOR CLIPPERS GET SCHOOLED BY SIX NATIONS
The Windsor Clippers suffered an embarrassing loss to the Six Nations Rebels on Friday night. The Rebels scored nine unanswered goals in the third period on route to a 21- 8 whooping on the Clippers. The Clippers kept it close for two periods, but couldn’t match the Rebels intensity in the third period.
Brendan Wallace, Andrew Garant and Craig Marentette scored two goals apiece, while singles were scored by Chase Kavanaugh and Dylan Riley. Joel Evans went the distance in goal for the Clippers and took the loss.
The loss puts the Clippers into a two way tie or the division lead with the Wallaceburg Red Devils, with both teams sporting 8-4-1 records. The Clippers take on Guelph on Saturday night at Forest Glade arena. Game time is 7:00pm. The Clippers will travel to Wallaceburg on Tuesday night for a 8:00 pm tilt.
Even the bus couldn’t put in a full game tonight, blowing a tire just west of Woodstock on the way home, causing a two hour delay. More time for the boys to stew over the loss.
