DiGiacinto was making is return to the Windsor lineup after serving a five-game suspension. Aaron Luchuk scored Windsor’s other goal.

Former Spitfire Ryan Moore scored the lone goal of the game for the Firebirds while Connor Hicks made 23 saves for the home team.

The Spitfires return to action Sunday for a game against the Saginaw Spirit in what will be the final Ontario Hockey League game ever to be played at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
