Windsor TFC kicks off 2017 season with a 2-1 victory against North Mississauga Panthers at University of Windsor
After falling behind 1-nil in the 33rd minute, Celso Carapau drew the teams even on a penalty kick and then finished strongly inside the 6 yard box to put Windsor ahead for good.
During back and forth play through the remaining 45 minutes, Windsor received strong performances from goaltender Kyle Vizirakis, defenders Jamar Kelly and Luke Husbands, and midfielders Chris Al-Youssef and Kyle Ruggaber.
For his efforts up front, Carapau was named the McTague Law Firm Man of the Match. Windsor TFC’s next home match will be Sunday, May 7 at Alumni Field as they welcome the Oakville
Blue Devils to town. Kick off is at 4:00pm.
